Get your personal data off broker lists.

Data brokers collect and sell names, addresses, phone numbers and more. This tool lists the brokers that are likely to hold yours, writes a legal erasure request for each one, and tells you when to chase the ones that haven't replied.

  • Your details never leave your browser
  • UK GDPR, EU GDPR and US state law letters
  • Follow-ups until each one confirms

How it works

  1. Enter your detailsThe names, emails, phone numbers and addresses that brokers might hold. The more you add, the easier it is for them to find you.
  2. Send the requestsOne email from your own account reaches every broker at once. A few insist on their own opt-out form, and the tool links you straight to each one.
  3. Chase the silent onesBrokers have one month (45 days in the US). When a deadline passes, the tool gives you a firmer follow-up letter.
  4. Re-check every six monthsBrokers often buy the data again. The tool reminds you to send a renewed request.

Good to know

  • Credit agencies won't delete everythingExperian, Equifax and TransUnion can keep credit data that lenders rely on. They should still stop marketing use and tell you what they hold.
  • Most UK brokers have no public searchThe request also asks each broker to confirm what it holds (Article 15). Their reply is how you find out.
  • People-search sites change their forms oftenIf a link stops working, search the site for "opt out" or "remove my information".
  • Close the tap firstIn the UK, opt out of the open electoral register so that brokers stop getting fresh copies of your address.

Want it fully automatic?

This page writes and tracks the requests, but you press send. We also have a self-hosted version that runs on your own computer or server. It sends from your mailbox, reads the replies and follows up on its own. Get in touch if you'd like help setting it up.

This tool is general information, not legal advice. The broker list comes from the open datarequests.org database (CC0), plus our own checked corrections.
